- Select a piece of cardstock or paper for the card base.
- Fold it in half to create a card shape (typically 5"x7" when folded).
-
Design the front:
- Draw or cut out a heart shape from contrasting colored paper.
- Glue the heart to the front of the card.
- Write "Happy Valentine's Day" or a personal message.
-
Decorate:
- Use markers, crayons, or colored pencils to add designs or patterns.
- Apply stickers, glitter, or other embellishments as desired.
-
Create the inside:
- Write a heartfelt message or a Valentine's greeting.
- Consider adding a small drawing or additional decorations.
-
Optional enhancements:
- For a watercolor effect, use paints to create an ombré background.
- Try paper quilling or origami techniques for more advanced designs.
Remember, the most important aspect is the personal touch you add to the card. Your Valentine will appreciate the time and effort you put into creating a handmade card just for them.
